The DIVERtags package includes 3 equipment/bag tags. The package includes a wallet card to prove ownership and provide our contact information. All tags have a serial number. Three 6" stainless steel cables secure the tags to your equipment and bags. The business card sized tags are heat sealed with 10 mil thick plastic (the thickest available). One half inch heat sealed cable hole is further reinforced with an aluminum or brass grommet which prevents the cable from being pulled through the card. If you accidentially are separated, DIVERtags will likely get your property returned to you and promptly. If someone is given the opportunity to walk off with a piece of your equipment, chances are the tag and RFID chip with act as a strong deterent and they will pass on the opportunity. Also, they will have the risk of being caught with the equipment and attached tags. Unless the thief carries a good quality pair of cable/wire cutters, the tags are not coming off. Even if cut off, the thief then has to worry about fingerprints and disposable of the tags. These tags are designed to get your attention and tags accidentially lost have been recovered. As of May 2012 no property protected by our tags (luggage and bike tags being the most commonly sold) has been stolen. Every item of property lost (mainly luggage at this point) has been recovered.
